The performance of the Bruins in Game 3 illustrated exactly the kind of game they want to play and how they have found success to bring them to this point. They dominated face-offs, they killed another 5 penalties, they played physical, and Tuukka was outstanding. And don't forget the powerplay goal from Bergeron for the cherry on top!
It will take more of the same to keep the momentum going in Game 4. Quenneville and the Blackhawks are becoming increasingly frustrated by the Bruins' suffocating style of play and it's showing in their game. Quenneville has been shuffling the lines around, scrambling to find a combination that isn't completely stunted by the Black and Gold.
The Hawks' stars; Kane, Toews, Hossa, Sharp, and Keith; have be
en completely shut down by Big Z and the defense. Their powerplay is 0-15 due to some keen penalty killing by the Bruins. It's almost exactly like what happened against Pittsburgh. The Bruins are playing the game they want to play.
We'll see what happens tonight. A major factor going into the game will be if Hossa is able to play after being a late scratch for game 3. However, I still believe that the Bruins are rolling right now and it's too much for the Hawks to handle.
Bruins 4-1. Jagr finally breaks the ice for 2 goals and another from Paille.
