What's your ideal offseason?

Pretend you're Peter Chiarelli for a moment. You're General Manager of the Boston Bruins and you're entering one of the busiest times of the year. You gotta decide who to re-sign, who to let go, who to trade, who to seek in free agency, and more.

Admit it, you're always thinking, "Well if it were up to me, I would trade Player X, and re-sign player Y" and so forth. We've all imagined what decisions we would make if we were in charge. Well now you can. Using the template I've created, below, you can manage your ideal offseason.

Before you start, there are a few things worth considering.
-Ference, Jagr, Johnson, and Pandolfo have all been officially told they will not be returning, so cross them off them off the list.
-The Bruins do not have a 2013 first round pick because of the Jagr trade.
-Under CBA rules you may go 10% over the salary cap during the offseason as long as you're compliant once the season starts.
-Savard's contract can and will be moved to the Long Term Injured Reserve (LTIR) which will free that cap space. So basically there is just under $10 million in cap space.

All numbers and stats are from www.CapGeek.com which I highly reccomend. You can find in depth analysis of the contracts and salaries of every team in the league. You can also snoop around a little and see a free agent list for the entire league and see who might be of interest of you.

When you fill yours out, feel free to send them in and we'll post a couple! I'll have mine soon. I think once you try to make the math work you'll realize just how difficult Chiarelli's job truly is. Happy offseason!
